Continental is one of the world's leading suppliers to the automotive industry and employs approximately 155,000 people in 45 countries. In 2021, Continental celebrated 150 years since its establishment.

Continental is represented in the Czech Republic by production and sales units in Adršpach, Brandýs nad Labem, Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, Jičín, Otrokovice, and Trutnov that employ 12,000 workers.

The factory in Brandýs nad Labem employs almost 1,800 employees and specializes in the production of multimedia systems, car radios, on-board instruments, air conditioning control panels, and fuel units. In addition to Formula Student, Continental also cooperates with CTU to provide professional lectures for students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
